Kill me.

But I believe that Mark O’Connor is right. That truth is very inconvenient. There is too much of us in this world and politicians still push on population growth. More people, bigger demand – higher prices of goods. Business is business. Who cares about limited resources of our small planet? I recommend this book for everyone who does not want to be fooled anymore: A third century Christian author understands that already: “As our number and demands grow greater, our complaints against nature’s inadequacy are heard by all. The scourges of pestilence, famine, wars, and earthquakes have come to be regarded as blessing to overcrowded nations, since they serve to prune away the luxuriant growth of the human race” (page58)

Love me.

In one of the MX Newspaper (the one handed out for free at the rail stations) Andrea Hamblin drew my full attention on issue of dating, saying: “it is like wrapping paper, is obviously an absolute waste of our time”. Yes, a “blow-up doll” has low chances to be your fiancee, especially when she shows you her face with no make-up on very next morning. There is one type of man though she might fit to. It is a plastic Ken. This is that sort of article which you usually enjoy on train and then you throw it to the bin. It is aggressive and out any logic but its form is capable to stir up your mind. It is always working on me negatively if someone put too much brain into soul things, too much of rationalism over empathy. One more thing happened on that day what kept on keeping me off the balance. I’ve listened to the lecture on population growth: Humans are bad. Pregnancy is bad. Contraception is good. No-people is good. Jesus! Let someone crucify me.

Teach me.

That was a long Tuesday meeting. We were discussing our future goals and past mistakes. I came to know many interesting things about my coworkers I sit nearby in our lab. But I came to know much about myself too: I am a philosophical type. If someone sends me to the moon in order to undergo investigation on its dust I want to know why I go there. What is the reason for humans to start populate new places? Is it a greed, curiosity or business? We do not know how to live on Earth. If we are capable to destroy our planet there is no need to go to the moon.

Thrill me

I am again entering a very exciting period in my life. It is kind of cycle. Exactly one year ago while Christina was settling down in Sydney I was thrilled by waiting for a visa to Australia. And now, I am sending my application to one of the Sydney Uni. There is a big chance that I will get one step higher on the ladder of my scientific “career”. I will get promoted from plant ecology research assistant to plant ecology researcher.

Jammed and Wild

We do not have TV but we do have a second hand DVD player and screen . It takes a few nails and one hammer to make them both work but surprisingly they do : ) Recently we watched two very good Australian made movies which broadens up even more my view on money topic: “Into the wild” directed by Sean Pean is indeed a masterpiece. Based on true story you are introduced to the life of guy who burns money and decides to live alone in wild Alaska. He brings a lot of joy to people who he meets on his way. Some call him a modern Jesus and unfortunately he dies very young too. Not from crucification though but from accidental eating a poisonous plant after weeks of starvation. He didn ’t look for love, wealth, power…His goal was to find Truth. At the last moment of his extremely lonely life he was able to write down what follows – “Happiness is real when shared” - A moving masterpiece. “Jammed” by Dee MacLachlan with super Russian prostitute Vanja played by Saskia Burmeister . The movie...

Money.

Hard to believe it but it seems to be true that September 11 was well-planned action which let some people to earn a lot of money. BBC was broadcasting about collapsing the Salomon Brother Tower (next to WTC) 20 minutes before it happened. By now director of that TV station claims he lost all the tapes from that even (They are obliged to keep three copies of each record they made). Why Western people believe more in guru of democracy (Bush/Obama) than to religious leaders in Iran? Nuclear power is much more environment-friendly and produces no greenhouse gases. And there is no democracy without capitalism. Let me cite Bob Ellis who disregards capitalism by calling it a modern slavery. “They are too tired to enjoy their children, and snap at their wife when she rejects a drunken caress, between shifts, at seven am. She has a job herself cleaning hotel rooms, and she her sleep. And the mortgage repayments rates go up (…) and they have to assess what food they eat. If this isn’t slavery, ...
