W zasadzie to Nikosie I polaborygenskie dziecko rozumialem niemal w 100 procentach. Ruski czlowiek tez mowil ladnie po angielsku. Ale byly takie kwestie, ze sie cal...

City Rail Code

Daily tripper is a 16$ daily ticket which gave us yesterday a long ride to Manly Beach. It is good deal, for 16 dollars we could travel by train and bus and ferry wherever we wished to. Yesterday’s destination was Manly beach. Public communication is for sure a very interesting object to investigate for fans of Da Vinci Code. Since Rosnay time where I finished the most popular book of Dan Brown I became much more sensitive to Masonic signs around me. Signs of phallus and cilice are more than obvious in the public transport in Sydney. The moving element that is train is equipped with the male strong voice asking everyone to ‘stand clear!’ while the non-moving element that is a train station is welcoming the quests with information on upcoming vehicles in the charming female way :) Ferry is a different story. It was awfully loaded with people. Someone even was doing baa like a sheep to intensify the drama of our crowd which was being squeezed up and led into a relatively small ship. Afte...

Australian is Manly

Few days ago I started a very interesting book on beginning of British settlement in Australia (“Dancing with strangers”). Against the old habits Inga Clendinnen has named only the indigenous People Australians –that is the ones we usually call Aborigines. And while having a picnic on the nice beach on the strange land Captain Phillip and his officers met those Australians. They even didn’t think about sharing a food with locals, they wanted to eat what they had in peace :). He drew a circle on the sand around them and gestured that Australians should stay out of it. Nevertheless Captain was so much impressed by the size of man he met there that he decided to call the place Manly ( There is nothing so bad or so good that you will not find Englishmen doing it; but you will never find an Englishman in the wrong. He does everything on principle. He fights you on patriotic principles; he robs you on business principles; he enslaves you on imperial principles; he bullies you on manly princ...

Investigation on Waryszak

My mum and my papa spend all their adult life between Lublin (city in the eastern Poland) and Majdan Brzezicki (country-side 30 km away from Lublin). It is hard to comprehend for them that their only son that is me has travelled so much already across the Europe. And the fact that I flew away recently to the country on the other side of the world is even harder for them to grasp mentally. When we met last time I asked the question like: what if I a get married with Christina, can I take up her surname……and they looked at me like at Marsian. Please Pawel You can have foreign girl, You can even live in Australia but please let WARYSZAK to be passed on to the next generations. And here I am. Since then I would rather teach all the people from NSW state how to pronounce my surname than change it to something like Smith :). Polish language is a phonetic language that is anywhere in polish text you find W-letter you pronounce it in the same way. Here goes the lesson of pronunciation on WARYS...

Sweet Date and Meatless Fish

Polish man is going to spend Christmas among artificial Christmas trees and having bbq close to the beach. It is very unusual for me. Not long time ago while biking with Orange Biking Club to Lucknow I heard an interesting comment to the present times –“ We people of Australia we live in post-Christian era” It is quite shocking statement for someone from catholic country :) but it is hard to say that it is something wrong. It is again a matter of something new crashing against old habits (almost like driving on the left side). I ve been once to holy mass in the Anglican Church in Canowindra while my Rosnay time. It is not that shocking to see a female priest as it is to hear people talking about it with such attitude like it is one of the most normal thing in the world :) – amazing, and It seems that only people from previous Christian era are attending a holy mass, that is people who are like 60 or above years old. What will happen next? Who is going to replace all those oldies in the...

Car Crash and Happiness

I want to write about one more thing regarding my last driving: Yes, I did drive to Sydney but after getting off of the Kate's big car i didn't let those emotions go off of me . They all exploded in my dream on the same night. It felt so real. A black jeep car turned right and went into my front bumper while going fast on the highway. I didn't manage to stop on time. I have crushed into it and I fully blacked out. After I got back my consciousness I felt so miserable looking at all those smashed cars, covered with grey dust. The traffic was heavy and my accident has just started a chain reaction of massive car collision. But luckily soon after this i woke up in my real life :)) and the real life brought me a real relief. Ancient Greeks would call it catharsis - blissfully delightful feeling :) I am so happy I still have dreams. At Rosnay farm i had dreams everyday. They are like mills what crush all the emotions of the passing day into enjoyable play :) so that I wake up ve...

Psoriasis and Lingua Franca

"In the beginning was the Word" (John 1) - the word has a big creative power :) so i keep on writing. I want to create a world full of positive, joyfull people around me, so that we could heal each other from boredom, sadness and psychosomatic diseases. Since neurotic, stressfull time of my youth (18) I started to suffer from psoriasis. And it kept covering my skin with itching spots. Thanks God i met Christina 3 years ago. She injected me with Hope and Joy and..... I couldnt believe it - the itching spots started to disapear. I was so happy that it is not only developing but it may also disapear. It disapears when i feel good and safe and in addition salty water, fresh air and sun do good too. And maybe that is why recovering was going very slowly in the cold, wet and dark nordic country Estonia. After one year there Good Fate brought us to sunny, with no-worries people Australia :))) and We love it! I hope for the best. The older I become the more emails i have to write abo...

Around 300 km on the left side

Driving on the left side for Polish guy like me is like learning a foreign language (English for instance). I understand the grammar, I understand the logic but my old habits encoded in me are stronger!!! i still try shifting the gears with right hand and i still express myself in English through Polish metaphors :)). It is quite dangerous way of life but very exciting. New Wales in the title of my blog applies of course to New South Wales. I came to Sydney on 25th of October as an "attachment" to my girl's postgraduate research visa. I enjoyed her company for only short time - Christina flew away for fieldworks to Perth (it is more or less like going from Lisbon in Portugal to Tallinn in Estonia). I am allowed to work only part-time here but God helped me again. At the time my girl would be away i got a great opportunity to work as a volunteer on the Rosnay organic farm ( http://www.rosnay.com/ ) = wonderful time, I escaped from loneliness in a big city and in addition i...
